    Looks like Z_PROBE_X_OFFSET is defined in configuration.h as empty and that causes the compile error. Maybe there are more empty variables. Some time ago the config tool could produce this on first download. A second download then returned the correct configuration.h. Could also be an other thing but I'd have a look into the configuration and what is stored there.

    Found two more instances of the Z_PROBE_X_OFFSET and the EPR_Z_PROBE_OFFSET variables in the code. The first is later in the Eeprom.h file:

    And the second is the exact same call causing the error, but earlier in the Eeprom.cpp code (a potential duplicate of an operation that only works once?):

    (There is yet another occurrence of these variables even later in the code, at line 940, but it cannot be causing the current error because the compiler doesn't get a chance to reach it).

    But your problem is the one in Configuration.h that should look like

    #define Z_PROBE_X_OFFSET 0

    but in your case the value is missing.

    I added the missing value to the configuration yesterday and downloaded the new firmware. After working through several other user errors, I am now able to compile the code in the Arduino IDE, and am now facing issues with the programmer. This thread can now be closed.

    Along the way, I did find that the "Repetier.cpp" file is missing from the download. I assume that it was removed to avoid the duplicate objects that occurred when I tried using a renamed version of the .ino while still in the same folder. Unfortunately, neither the .ino or a rename of it will compile correctly in codeblocks. At the end of compilation, it always comes up with "Error linking objects." and never got a chance to upload.

    This issue (now closed) was also put up on github.
