Coordinates could go wrong if manually controlled

If one controls the printer with the controller moving axis the coordinates could go wrong.
In case you step over limits i.e. x-home, coordinates counts minus steps but the axis stay on 0. Same happens if you go over max endstops.

I can see this behaviour on my CoreXY printer.

    Where do you read the coordinates? On the printer or some host that keeps values inside bounds and assumes firmware does the same?

    I read the values on the printer display.
