Repetier said: Ensure your slicer profile has the height set. Then check in host if the override is active, where you can set different layer heights. One of them has 0.1 in your case. OK thanks i will check that.

is there a tutorial so i can make sure i have the firmware right etc.

Must I disable autolevel in the firmware? I dont want it just G33 mesh
-
AH ok I get it. Tnx
-
Ot is a tevo tarantula with repetier. Yes i have a z min end stop. I don't want autolevel just want to do automated G33 to map the bumps
-
ok G30 fails and G33 fails. First calibrates the bed with the MIN end stops then moves to Z to 20 then to P1 for a few second, raises Z to 30 then to P2 and starts to go up again and then stops with a fatal error - fix and restart with M333. I don'…

Repetier said: No, if everything is configured correctly you go G1 X100 Y100 Z20 z should be what you have set as z probe bed distance. Then just run G33 and it will measure all points automatically. But as I said BLtouch has it's own requir…

So do I move manually with g1 to a point then lower manually till the pin retracts?
-
Awesome thanks
-
I am not sure i fully understand. So i can use the BLTouch with G33? will it automatically record the deviation?
-
Hey @Repetier Thanks for the help. I was messing with this last night and it worked VERY well (obviously) is it also possible to have this done automatically using a min Z end stop and not a Z max? for the last 2 years i have always manually level…

Great thanks

Thanks. Yes i saw the syntax etc. I just want sure if I actually needed a probe connected. I want to run manually for now. Adding a probe will be a royal pain at this time
-
I am downloading a new version of the firmware and I have enabled distortion.. when compiling it says z probing must be enabled then requires a pin. I want to adjust manually. Is that not possible. I.e. move to a point then lower z to a touch plate …

Repetier said: Repetier.ino describes G33 syntax. The config tool also descripbes the config parameter. AH awesome. Thanks.

Repetier said: Compile with distortion correction. That adds G33 whcih stores a map in eeprom so you do not need to repeat everytime. Thanks for that. Is there a link ( i MAY be lazy) to a page that explains this process?

Just swap the wires on the board

Watch the print and monitor the temp drop when the layer fan comes on. If you don't have a silicon boot or something over the heat block the fan may be cooling the hotend more than it can cope with. I had that before.

or upped maximum speed rather!

Yeah i set it to 350mm and upped the minimum speed in the FW as well - not sure if it even got to 350mms lol but regardless, i still have the stringing. I am looking in any place other than the normal culprits because i am really stumped. so all i h…

ok i got them moving singularly BUT when i move X then Y moves and visa versa. the motors are in the correct ports.

MartinH said: Ok, 1st make sure you are using the DEV version of firmware, many probing improvements have been made in this version. 2nd, if you use homing option Z up, X,Y preheat Z or X,Y preheat Z, #define HOMING_ORDER HOME_ORDER_XYT…

MartinH said: HI, twas me on reprap. Its not a script as such, in the fw configuration tool https://www.repetier.com/firmware/dev/index.php in the features page, there is a part where you can add the M340 P0 S**** for probe start and probe…

your z offset may be a bit high. lower the Z offset variable. Basically your Z offset should be the difference between the probe (triggered position) and the actual height of the nozzle form the bed when the probe is triggered. adjusting this may ge…
