So those settings just defining mix/max potential RPM via PWM? The slicer determines everything else (Staying w/in those min/max guidelines) in it's slicing calks? Thanks for all the info, Dave

Repetier said: I got the same result. Analysis showed layer time was always > 40s so higher than minimum layer time set in filament. When I increased that time to 200s I got fan speeds of 255. For benchy especially the small cylinder at t…

I did search for M106 for my original STL in cura and the only instance I saw was layer:1. . I sliced w/ the slic3r engine and it does ramp up w/multiple M106 commands so something screwy w/ cura (See details below) Slicing Benchy w/ slic3r (Withi…

In your previous post you mention "In slicer print settings->Extruder at top you say how to scale cooling up until height xy. Also for some firmwares 127 might be 100%. So check gcode flavour to be repetier/marlin/sprinter." I do not see the…

Sorry I'm not sure if I'm in the right place, are you referring to here (See screenshot below)? I cannot find how to embed or attach an image but the links below are what I'm referring to and what I see. This is under CuraEngine settings | Extrusi…

All i see in control under temp is a round dial gauge w/ the current temp. Above it, it says "Extruder 1". Wish I could attach a pic. I'm on server 1.3.0 I just realized If I turn the slider ON it works. I didn't want to do that midprint in …

Great thanks for the info. Any way I can enlarge the current graph to see things a bit clearer or no?

The printer is powered by a relay board from a GPIO pin on my Pi. So the pin can always communicate w/ that relay to turn printer on/off. I will try to add a wait command but last night oddly the run after command didn't even work so I had to manu…

I switched to 63b and it's been working flawlessly. Oddly I did run the test a few times and I did see that 63b could not communicate when I ran the test a 2nd time. Even more oddly the 127b test one time showed zero errors. Nothing in my FW on p…

A little update, today w/ both the run before and run after g-codes it just turns the printer on and then right off, not executing any of the print G code. I feel I am just doing something wrong here but not sure what. To me, logic dictates the Ru…

Thanks for the reply! I do not have time-lapse on. After you mentioned the config tests I ran test multiple configs and this is what I got, I'm currently using the 127b buffer and it is RED. I don't know what to make of this, nor do I know exact…

I'll have to google what repetier-server monitor is. Odd think i'm noticing. First print turned printer on /off using the event depending run before job (;@gpio Power on) and run after job (;@gpio Power off) but now after i go to print it goes rig…

i do not have ping/pong mode on. it was off and I have no idea what it does so I haven't touched it. if you think it'll possibly help I'll try it (Is this something configured w/in printer or can just toggling it in server do that?). Is there a …

Thanks. I actually used the event dependent printer settings G-code area in Server to turn on and off the printer which is working great. Is there a way yet to easily export/import Server/Host settings Dave

Ok as a test I used the BCM pin # (2) rather than the GPIO pin (8) and that seemed to work. Over my head but i'll take it.

The script worked fine up until the last version of repetier server, this much I know for sure. Certainly not faulting anyone/anything just want to figure it out. Ok as a test I used the BCM pin # (2) rather than the GPIO pin (8) and that seeme…

Thanks for the response. I though I posted this (I could not edit original post) but I should update, last night a job w/ a 25mm diameter vertical shaft offset itself about 2mm mid print so it is actually affecting the print jobs. Also when the jo…

Thanks, yeah I do use the server web ui when i'm offsite but was hoping to use host to display this info when I'm using different pcs on my LAN. Love this software and this is not a deal breaker but given the data is available on the webui it'd be…

Thank you for the response. So to clarify this info in server tab is never populated, even on the initiating PC? Or it only is when you load gcode via the server web UI? What do you mean by "selected the gcode"? I also noticed the Print Previ…

roger that, i'll keep that in mind thanks again. Dave

So I rebooted the PI running server and it is displaying IPv4 again. So this behavior will occur when the LAN is down while repetier server is loading? I did take my hotspot down for a bit and the pi would have had no WLAN for a bit. How often d…

Thanks for the fast reply. I have attached what I see, IPv4 is there.

Ahh that makes sense and does correspond w/ quicker layers. So you just embed cura into your software and don't touch the slicing at all? Cura 15.x standalone doesn't seem to function like that which confused me.

I will try. I keep telling myself to stop a print but I always get sidetracked. Will start a print, stop it and then before starting another send a G28 a few times to see what I get.

This also occurred in the wanhao original OE marlin 1.1.6 FW for me prior to upgrading to 1.1.8. So I don't know exactly if it's the marlin FW or not. I suppose I could use another slicer and/or print from SD just to see. Dave

Same deal w/ starting where last job ended today. I finished a job and the printer turned off as always w/ my @execute command. I then cleared print and sliced my next job. I then sent it forgetting I turned the printer off. So as soon as I turn…

The fix: if you see cap when you run and M115 I modified /usr/local/Repetier-Server/firmware/marlin.xml by removing line 103 ^Cap:PROGRESS and substituted ^Cap:PROGRESS:(\d) and I was able to see layers cycling w/ ETA/ETE. Dave [quote] ^Cap:PROG…

Yep, that did the trick thanks much.

Understood. I confirmed multiple times it does not scroll layer for me when print is initiated from server, only displays when it is selected by itself (Not rotate). Also watched command window on server itself and saw no M117 layer info sent when…
