I was saying to start, it really wouldn't matter to have the extruder move out of the way. Just a trigger on the layer shift in my opinion would be just as good since each new layer starts relatively in the same general location each layer. I also r…

honestly, I wouldn't be concerned about the extruder being at the start of the new layer. Having it out of the way introduces different issues that could cause a print to fail.

Ok, found the OctoLapse plugin... so something like this would be really nice to have for Repetier Server. https://plugins.octoprint.org/plugins/octolapse/

Same issue when I upgraded recently. Heated bed showed active in settings but wouldn't show the manual controls. Went into settings, removed and then saved the heated bed option again. Voila... heated bed manual controls were back.

Yeah, I have matched the firmware to Server and still isn't even close
-
I agree, not sure why long file name isn't just standard now and is the default return. Thanks for checking on what can be done.
-
If you look at this http://reprap.org/wiki/Gcodes#M33:_Get_the_long_name_for_an_SD_card_file_or_folder it shows to get long name on Marlin is possible. If I read that right.

I'm using the Prusa 3.1.0 firmware. On the printer screen, it shows full filename
-
Found the problem. The file referenced was 'slic3r.exe' and not 'slic3r-noconsole.exe'
-
I updated to 3.1.0 and haven't had any problems. Anyone know if the error is for specific configurations? My server is on Ubuntu with the printer connected via USB.
-
Thanks for adding that end part... I had no idea what you said.
-
I don't mind the check, just need it to ignore purges on first layer. If that is done, it should be a very useful addition.
-
Yeah, if you could remove the check on the first layer or ignore the check for the common purge locations, that would be great. With the update, the server now has all my files marked as bad. So I either have to manually update the gcode within serv…
-
Strange, if this has always been in place, then why has it not shown up until after the update. All slicers I have used do a purge just outside of the print area before moving in to do the skirt and the rest of the print.

Thanks for thinking about it. Even though my server and PC are in the same location, I keep them on separate networks due to bandwidth limitations (Living in the country has its drawbacks where technology is concerned). So having it zipped by Host a…
-
Yeah, that will help. However how is the zipped gcode going to work? Will Host zip the 'Save to Server' file before sending and then its unzipped on the Server side? Or will we need to save to file, zip and then upload to the server manually? Really…

I understand not wanting to waste storage on Pi powered servers, however on an actual PC running Linux (or whatever) where storage is not an issue, then having this option would be beneficial. Also, I understand you can re-upload the last sliced fi…

Nice to know that bed leveling is stored in Rep firmware. Its going to be a while, but my next build I plan on using rep firmware to see how it works. Thanks!
-
Other problem with restoring/resuming after power fail is that printers with Mesh Bed Leveling will need to go through that process again. However it is not able to do that process due to a print already on the bed. Unless the printers firmware can…

I've never seen a motherboard cause a C++redist install failure. Not saying weird things can't happen, but just haven't seen that. Normally when software installs and causes 'hardware' problems, its BSOD errors from driver issues. But if you're alre…

Settings for Prusa i3 MK2(s) in Repetier-Server should be as follows for a default installation. Keep in mind my Device/Port settings are for Linux, so yours will most likely look different.

Watching the video, it appeared that your hotend overshot the corner by a pretty good margin. That would indicate issues like JanComputerMan stated and a possible issue with your motor controlling X. As for the skirt question. Depending on your sli…

Understood, it was a weird thing that it did. When I get free time, I will see if I can get it to happen again and if so, I will write down the steps to reproduce it. Thanks!
-
Worked like a charm. Now only users with Configuration permissions can restart the server. Thanks!
-
Thanks! I will try this and let you know how it went. I believe I already gave repetierserver the permission to start sudo without password prompt.
-
I've only done it once so far. The section it was working on had a separate part it was working on that layer. While it was working in the region for that part, I excluded it expecting it would finish up that layer and move on to the next code outsi…

Maybe I am getting a bit confused here, not explaining the request or just not understanding what you mean by using a script. So I will try to better clarify the request along with trying to clarify my understanding of the script that was mentioned.…
-
Reading that document states that it would allow possible hacking and its not a secure way. I don't mind using a script as long as it can be set up to be used by approved users. If not, then having it built into the server with user access limi…

Also, if you don't have enough spacing between the bed and nozzle, you WILL clog your printer. The melted filament will travel up the heat break and then solidify again. If that happens and you can't use the Atomic Method to clear, you will most lik…
