Hello, Started 3D printing in April 2017 with a "brand" printer from our Chinese friends, (no i am not gonna give you the name of the three axis brand, lol) and watched some 3D printing video's throughout the web. As soon as i saw a Delta printer i knew i had to have one of my own and bought a DIY kit. Ever since, i'm almost constantly trying to improve my printers setup, so i now jump from one controller board to another, first board was the Mega2560, second a rumba board for the 3 in 1 diamond head, now trying a ultrasonics board, and a lerdge board with touch screen and some additions is already on it's way. why? Because i'm curious and i want to learn as much as i can. By the way, this is all just pure out of hobby interest. What have i learned so far? Marlin FW is also a big player and for the AVR platform (8-bit) and is doing a serious effort to do so for the ARM platform (32-bit). Repetier is also developing on both platforms and competition is never been a bad thing. I used Marlin for the mega2560 and the Rumba board and for the Ultratronics pro V1.0 the Repetier config tool(development part) has won, because the Marlin configurator just gives me a bunch of compiling errors. So here is my story so far, i'm now a proud owner of a Rostock Mini G2Spro and a XYZ da Vinci pro. Plans of making a Kossel XL are already forming up and will be my winter project. Kind regards to all of you, Johan

  • Thanks again Repetier, finally got the axes levelled out as the should be.Slight adjustment is still needed but now it got it from 4mm to 0.2mm on the entire surface, so i guess for just manual levelling it is coming all together a bit at a time, in…
  • i suppose the variable you are talking about is calculated somewhere in the driver.h file?  but i try first the way of changing diagonal and hor radius. I think it was in Marlin that they actually calculated the variable in config.h with this line//…
  • aaah ok that way, thanks, this helps me a lot. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction :-)
  • Solved the radius issue on my ultratronics-repetier build, when i set the slider and carriage parameters with - values like -20 then i have full and accurate movement on all axes. Next problem, the bed center on the arm movents results in a higher p…
  • All the measurements are from centerpoint to centerpoint. As i noticed, the Z steps per mm are the only ones showing when connecting through repetier protocol in repetier host. The repetier host i am using is the latest one. and i have the repetier-s…
  • all the diagonal rods were adjusted to the same length, 198.5mm horizontal radius is 164 and printable radius 105, all the offsets are measured and on the mega2560 and rumba board with marlin firmware everything worked fine. i even accomplished a be…
  • Hi again, At reprapworld i was able to find this  UltratronicsEthernetThis is a library for Arduino adding support for ENC424J600 chiphttps://reprapworld.com/products/electronics/ultratronics/ultratronics_pro_v1_0/#productdetailthere are also links …
  • will do some research on that the ethernet and i will keep you informed. I also have something very strange going on with the axis movements. I set all steppers to 160steps/mm and homing (xyz towers on my delta printer) homes perfectly, z-axis movem…
  • Hi, any chance the ultratronics pro v1.0 ethernet port is gonna be added in the dev version of the config tool?
  • The PID_CONTROL_RANGE could be set to high for example at 20°C, try to set it to 10°C or even lower.
  • Seems like TEMP_HYSTERESIS or PID_CONTROL_RANGE are not co-working here? Just a thought :-)
  • hi Gergo, I'm a new user for the ultratronics board myself and i compiled a firmware using the repetier configuration tool. I had to use de development version because the Ultrasonic boards are not in the stable version yet. Maybe you can try it a…
