repetier upgrade on davinci 2.0a

I am trying to upgrade my davinci 2.0a to repetier firmware. I have been following the github instructions. The only thing I cannot figure out are the variant and usbcore files. The instructions don't explain where they are and where they need to go. Am I missing something?

    What board does the printer use? Normally you use the Mega 2560 which is included. But that firmware is a massively modified fork not maintained by us. Don't have the printer so can only help with some general knowledge.
