MKS GEN v1.4 temperature fault

Single head.
bed and head temperatures are identical.
if I heat the bed then both readings rise, same with the hotend.

plugged two new 100k thermistors directly into the board, same problem.


  • Do both rise or both show exactly the same temperature? In later case you have selected same heater output and thermistor input for bed and extruder. They must differ. Extruder gets 0 and bed 1 index.

    no pullup on printer, unless it's built into the board, specs on the board are a bit sparse.
  • Also we are the wrong address for marlin related questions, it is as I think. You used same sensor pin for bed and extruder but these are different devices, so how should that work?
  • they are not the sensor pins, they are the sensor types.
    i disabled the bed with 0.
    only get a reading on head if both head and bed sensors are plugged in. think board has a problem.
  • update: wrote program to test ADC inputs for e0, bed, e1. no values received. pull up resistors for e0 & bed 2k2, e1 3k3. looks like I need a new board.
  • Pullup resistors are more voltage dividers and should be 4.7k for analog input for thermistors.
  • replacement board has the correct 4k7 resistors.
