Cannot Use M117 with Repetier-Host

I am really happy using Repetier-Host with my DaVinci 1.0 Printer. However, any of the messages that I embed in my G-Code using M117 are never displayed. It always displays whatever Repetier wants to display - typically ETE (shouldn'y that be ETA?)/

Is there a way to post messages on my display using M117 codes by turning off the Repetier posting of messages?

    Sure. You have set in Host->Printer Settings->Printer to display ETE/ETA (you can change by hitting the time in the status bar at the hosts bottom). That sends every x seconds a M117 overwriting your text. Disable it and your text will stay.
