I've been modifying my Prusa i3mk2 to use the diamond hotend for colour mixing, and installed Repetier firmware to control the printer. However whenever the software begins to preheat the hotend, it causes the system to fail and resets the printer. Below is a link to a short video demonstrating how it happens. 

Has anyone ever experienced anything like this, or have any suggestions as to what might be causing the problem?

    The flickering before reset is already awful. Might be the period of heaters turning on/off so that would show that power is not stable I guess. If you connect with host/server do you see a reset reason? I would bet on a brown out message in the log.
