Support for Slic3rPE / Prusa Edition?

Hi all,
I just stumbled over this announcement: http://www.prusaprinters.org/introducing-slic3r-prusa-edition/ (Download: http://www.prusa3d.com/drivers/, one needs to install the "Driver" (don't ask why, untick all samples they are just .stl and .gcode-files and generate some bloat, ditto the Windows-Driver) and I'm quite interested in the new features Mr. Prusa added to this fork (kudos!), to mention "Cubic infill" and "Ensure wall thickness", especially the latter one.

Embedding this Slicer into RepetierHost worked after some faffin' around (the .ini-Files are in C:\Users\Public\Documents\Prusa3D\Slic3r settings MK2 ...) but I'm missing the new Infill-options if I tick "Override Slic3r settings", e.g. RH only shows 8 options for infill while Slic3rPE has 12).

Did I miss something or does RH show a static list here?

all the best
K.

  • The list comes from host and it does not know the new options. Next host release will have prusa slic3r as well and will show the options for it.
  • FYI if you want only the Slic3r Prusa Edition then download it from here: https://github.com/prusa3d/Slic3r/releases

Question: do you plan to integrate it with more features e.g. variable layer height; individual infill ....
Any release plan for next host?
  • @Repetier:
Do you guys _ever_ sleep (or just call it a day)?
    *kudos*

    @Rossini:
I must have missed this one somehow (JP's site ain't that intuitive IMO), please do tell how you found this link ;-)

  • @xBot150:

the link is in the article you posted
  • oops.. call me blind or "reading too fast for his own good" (= adjust XY-Jerk maybe? ;-D)

but let's not derail this thread (... says the one responsible for ...)

    *ahem*
  • It will work like other slic3r just supportingt the new options. Will come in april i guess.
