Z height starting position not zero

I have been printing fine for almost a year with no problems.  

All of a sudden, when i start a print the extruder stops at about Z=15 instead of 0.

I havent changed a thing in any settings since it has been working so well for me for so long.  

So i figured it just got out of whack somehow and i used the front panel (rostock maxv2) to readjust the z height to just above the bed like it used to be.   

but that doesnt seem to fix the issue, it still starts at z=15.  

What am i missing here?  using repetier 1.6.1

Repetier

Start a print means executing whatever slicer output. I've seen codes that go to 15mm or so to heat up extruders/bed.

So more important questions is where

G28

G1 Z0 

ends up. Here changing zlength in eeprom can change end height.

homing and z=0 looks good.  Maybe i am mis remembering the starting position on print start.  the gcode does say to stop at 15.  thanks for pointing me in right direction.  i'm watching it do a print now and it does go to zero after waiting at 15.  thanks
