Building a Router using Arduino

hi,

i was hoping to use the existing repetier firmware to control an arduino mega2560 on a CNC router.
have so many questions.

opening question :
 - What software can we used to control machine, where to get, etc
 - Can someone please point me to a link or page(preferable with videos) where this has been done before.
