mac vs pc communication issue

I am trying to set a 3d printer up on my Mac. the Mac has massive delays with command compared to the pc I tried it with. any ideas why? thanks

    When I tested speeds with Repetier-Server the mac was the fastest by far. Nearly 1000 lines per second compared to around 350 on windows with repetier-firmware.

    If you say on mac I guess you mean the real Mac Host? Might not be as fast as server but no real delays you would see. But you should check the log for communication issues. Only log will show why you get delays.
