3D printer's X Y axis not correctly set

Hello,
So I just reinstalled windows 7 on my pc thus reinstalling a perfectly working repetier host and 3d printer, but now the printer doesn't work well. I have used the same firmwares and version of repetier as the last time, but it seems that the X and Y axis are not calibrated right, when I move them using the software, they don't seem to know where they are located thus grinding to a stop!
I have tried reinstalling everything, and trying other firmwares but nothing worked.. please help!

    Sounds like wrong steps per mm? Check eeprom settings in host or restore values from configuration.h if they are known to be correct with
