8 Extruders supported?

Hi,

I'm just planning my new printer. I want to use 8 individual ("real") extruders where 5 of them are already grouped together to 16 virtual extruders. As far as I know Repetier supports only 6 extruders. My question here is: Are there any chances that Repetier supports more than 6 real extuders?
