Extruder Motor Not Working on Q3D OneUp V2

Hello, we recently got a Q3D OneUp V2 printer and have successfully put everything together. All of the motors work and the extruder heats up properly. Basically, everything works except for the motor that feeds the filament. We have made sure that dry run mode is disabled and we have tried swapping out that motor for one of the axis motor , and it functions properly, meaning that the program is not telling the extruder to run. We have tried connecting it to the E1 port, but do not know how to tell Repetier how to use that port for the extruder. If anybody has any idea as to what settings we need to change, please let us know because we have been working at this for about a month now. Thank you.

  • By default extrusion only works if extruder is heated at minimum 150°C. Send M302 S1 to allow cold extrusion (requires 0.92 firmware).

In the online config tool you can select any stepper socket you like for each extruder.

We have already made sure that the extruded is being heated to 200 degrees celsius and we believe we have already tried allowing cold extrusion, but could you explain further about the online confit tool? We do not have much experience with this.
  • Config tool is here:

and should be preferred way to configure firmware as you can reupload old versions to upgrade if made with this tool. There the motor socket is just a dropdown.

  • Hello I am working with the OP on the printer as well. We apologize if these are noob questions but we are pretty new to the 3D printing scene. With the configurator tool, are all the settings already the defaults? For example if there are no other settings we want to change but the extruder motor slot, are we able to just change that value and download the config without messing with anything else?

  • Config tool has many useful presets, but it can not know your hardware so all hardware realted defaults need to be checked. Steps per mm, sockets, thermistor type, board can not be known.

Unfortunately we honestly have no idea what these settings should be changed to. Like we said we are brand new to the 3D printing scene. Is there anywhere we could look for a simple guide as to how to set up a oneup v2 with repetier?
  • None I know about, but google knows more I guess. There are so many printer variations that it is impossible to track them.
