When I set the mixing extruder checkbox should I have multiple extruder sections

When I set the mixing extruder checkbox should I have multiple extruder sections with everything in them?  I have a diamond hotend with a ramps and extra cnc board for running the third extruder.  It won't compile unless I set the MOTHERBOARD to 34.  Is that what I have to do?  If so, how do I configure each extruder section for heaters and temp sensors since there is only one of each for the diamond setup?

    Thermal configuration for extruder 0 is what counts for mixing extruders. But each motor needs the motor driver defined correctly.
