Mac M1 Unknown Printer Firmware

Dear all,
I have recently bought a Mac book Pro wih the M1 chip. My 3D printer is pretty old using an arduino board and marlin firmware. I can open a connection but repetier does not recognize my firmware. Any thoughts on how I might get around this issue?

    Which repetier software are you using? On Mac I'd use  Repetier-Server and there you can select marlin as firmware. If it is a custom marlin firmware it might have modified firmware name - then just ignore the message and continue anyway. Will not stop it from working.
