found the criteria you were talking about in config/preferences/3d visualization/filament/visualization!! never found an eye icon but making changes to the visualization is getting me what i was after. thanks for the hint that got me looking for thi…

Repetier, thank you for your replyl there are four choices under visualization. "show travel moves", "show complete code", show single layer" and "show layer range". i've had a check in 'travel moves' and 'single layer' buttons but i still don't se…

Repetier, thank you. click extruder icon bottom right hand control to start heating extruder. when extruder is up to temp, use the down icon to extrude all existing color and feed new color in during same operation. that's what i'm gonna try next.

will give that a try. thanks for that logic!!

so in order to use the manual control, i would have to load an object and go to print so when the extruder has reached temperature i use the filament advance control to insert new filament and then keep feeding until the color is changed?

ah, used manual control, inserted +45 in Z axis box and viola!! rotated as hoped!! thanks for the answer!!

tried to post a picture of the X axis showing the extruder/hot end/nozzle/fan assembly but can't figure out how to attach it, i'll just try and fudge setting for speed, width, thickness and temps and do what i can that way. thanks to all for your in…

where can i find out what the known issues are (it's direct drive type) so i have some idea what everyone has to deal with from the git-go, please.

fixed diameter cogged "wheel" on a fixed peg in a cast body that bolts between the face of the motor and the face of the heatsink and fan. the fan is mounted to blow in the heatsink fins. that whole assembly is fastened above the extruder nozzle and…

Thanks for the tip. i'm going to try doing some serious testing varying both heat and print speed. have to learn about offsets and things like that. kudos for your help.

thank you for the information. i've certainly got a lot to learn. i'm not certain the extruder gear has deep enough teeth to drive the filament consistently. also, i'm not certain that heat creep isn't a part of the problem because roughly the first…

thank you for the comment. no auto-leveling. the errors show whether all stops are in contact with each individual component. will study up on firmware and find out how it applies.

Is extrude button in host ver 2.0.2 the manual control screen "button" pad on the right with the extruder outline in the center? The pad to the right of the Z control? And, where do I find the gcode commands to send manually? (I'm a noobie, but I'm …
