Well its back. However I have a better description of what is happening for others who are reading. I noticed the fan shut off about part way through the heating cycle . I assumed it was the software shutting it down while it heats the extruder. …

No question. I just found that the online wizard puts in a value of 230 as a default in the "Power when On" field (when it should not be higher than 255.) .

You are right. I appreciate the validation that the issue is voltage and not incorrect settings. I stayed awake all night and checked all the wiring. Individually I didn't find anything. What I did find is, the heat-resistant tubing on one of the…

One last hardware thing to check and that is the wiring to the heater and thermistor. Hope that solves it.

Additional note:If I heat Extruder 1 to 215 C. Then heat Extruder 2, both thermistors decouple when Extruder 2 reaches about 170-190 C. The stepper then start making weird whining noises. Emergency stop resets and I can start heating immediately i…

Resolved.I had to adjust the steps per mm. using the calculator included, I didn't see the number of teeth at the bottom. I entered my belt size, 16 tooth pinion and got a number VERY close to what I needed. I had to round it up a bit to get an e…

Now I still need to calibrate the Z height. 11 on repetier is about 2mm lower than my gauge.

That did a lot. I found my bed was NOT cupped. the diagonal rod length was off by .5mm and so was the horizontal rod length. Now fixed and travel is within .1 mm at all points.

Im going to review the geometry and see if I can get it consistent, I realized my z height is not correct. I used the belt calculator but the resultant is an 11mm block is reading 13mm in Repetier. I am sure its going to throw off the whole geome…

It was only when I abandoned using the config.h (posted above) and manually entering the data in the wizard you created that it worked. I can repeat the process by starting with the config.h creating a new download and uloading it to the mega.

Resolved, I abandoned the imported config.h import and opted to create a new config based on the old one. I opened two browser windows. In one I imported the old config.h. The second window I entered the values they were displayed in the first win…

That was the issue I selected "smart controller from reprap discount on a RAMPS or rumba board" and it worked. Thank You. I spent at least 14 hours trying to figure this one out. Not wasted time, I learned a LOT about adruino and this firmware. J…

I found the answer to my question. I selected one two many extruders. I corrected it and it compiles\uploads ok. I still have an issue with the display. I have another Mega 2560 and Ramps 1.4 board on the way for something different. I will try th…

Looks like I nuked the adruino. I tied to upload the repetier firmware version included with the printer to see it runs with no error. I uploaded (using the upload command from the menu) with no errors and now when I restart there is no display at …
