"Still I can not see any logic in that speed changes when using different settings of steps/mm." It seems to me that, If it moves 1 mm in 400 steps and is changed to 1 mm in 1600 steps it would have to turn 4 times faster at any given set speed to …

If you are talking about infill, In R-H using slic3r its in configuration under infill, if using Curaengine its in configuration under structures. Is your extruder calibrated, so you are not overextruding/oozing ?
-
Is your baud rate correct? When you connect does the log window scroll and give some info as it connects?

FWIW.... I still use Arduino ver 1.65 to upload to my RAMPS/Mega boards. I haven't had a problem doing the uploads so far. I don't have a newer type board just the RAMPS and Mega 2560 pair. I tried newer versions of Arduino and for some reason had …

According to this page : https://tevo3dprinterstore.com/pages/tevo-tarantula-firmware It has the link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ndykfl1wkw8enpj/AACTlV5qC9dpaJA1PYYLACeha?dl=0 for the Tevo Tarantula firmware which is Repetier 0.92, your screensh…

You said you are using Slic3r right? Try loading a small item (like the 20mm hollow box ) and slice it. Under the PrintPreview tab on the right, click on the g-code editor and look at the ( I think it's the first G1 line after your initial g-code a…

I would write down the numbers of whatever value you change when doing this so you can see if you are going in the correct direction.

In the downloaded repetier firmware package, after extraction there is a directory called Repetier-Firmware-year-mo-day. It has a Repetier-Firmware subdirectory that has a subdirectory named Repetier that has all the files that Arduino IDE uses fo…

I apologize for not knowing this about that particular model, but do you have physical endstop switches for X,Y,Z? If you set Z=0 to just touch the bed (using the endstop switch) then if you elevate the Z axis with the command G1 Z8.77, your die shou…

Repetier said: Is your bed leveled 100%? If not you measure z distance at one point and at othe rpoints it has a different height. Normally a bed has adjustment screws to level it, so that z distance is the same over all positions. What I use…

still looks not "squishhed" enough.
-
Probably a dumb question, have you calibrated your Z steps/mm?
-
Your probing coordinates look odd based on your settings. Are your offsets correct? How did it print before using bed levelling?(just curious).
-
As far as I know that's what you'll have to choose from, with CuraEngine in RH.
-
I was talking about the one in RH, I did not mean to magnify your problem by introducing a new one, you shouild probably go back to what you were working with originally and figure that out.
-
I was just suggesting it to see if your mysterious 1st layer issue might disappear.
-
Have you tried the CuraEngine in RH? I use that as my main slicer (just a personal preference).
-
What is your first layer thickness? what is your normal layer thickness? The filament should be a little "squished" onto the bed so it will stick. Do you do the autolevel with the hotend and bed up to temp? The distances can change when heated. If I…

Is the probe offset correct? X/Y?For example , if you did a G1 X50 Y50 and then did a G30 your coordinates would read X50 Y50? Where is extruder 0? the center one?
-
Are you using the curaengine in RH? The skirt settings are under the Slicer Tab - Configuration - Print Tab (on left) - Structures (with curaengine selected as the slicer). Then under the Slicer tab on the right you need to change the adhesion type …

I took a peek at the firmware for that printer from Folgertech on the site. It's Marlin. The default values were Diag Rod 240, Hor. Rad 144. The X/Y limits were defined as -75/+75 total 150 and the height was set at 315. Center 0,0. Obviously these…

Did you try to manually move to the center of the bed and see what the gap is when Z=0 to see how far the bed might be off? You might try an object of known thickness, lets say 10mm or whatever and move the hot end around to different points, corner…
-
M119 - check status of endstops L = open H = activated. If moving manually X+ or Y+ should be away from you, X - or Y - should be towards you. On a cartesian home is usually 0,0, towards you and to the left corner, On a delta 0,0 is usually the cent…

For some reason I found when I was using Marlin FW, I had to close RH and reopen it to see the restored/changed parameters. The M20# commands scrolled in the log window and reflected the settings, checking the EEPROM config window verified the new #…

did you do a PIDtune?
-
IMHO X is E-W and Y is N-S.The same as when you graph points on math paper.
-
if you have a hardware endstop defined as true the corresponding software endstop should be false. If the endstop does not exist as hardware it is a software endstop. a M119 should show a high when the endstop is hit.

Repetier said: At the end z probe offset, bed coating and distortion correction gets added. So if these sum up to wrong height it can in deed crash. If you do not have multiple surfaces set bed coating 0 and adjust z probe height to be correc…

Did the machine work before you tried autolevel? What type of machine is it? what about homing x or y only? can you copy/paste your configuration.h?
