  • Thanks for looking at it- I know how tough it is to keep up with all the browsers. I’ll find another solution, maybe an old windows PC. Was just so convenient to use the pad.
  • It is almost bare- a few icons that don’t work. And a blue block. No text, nothing useable. http://barraquatic.com/rc/IMG_1497.jpg http://barraquatic.com/rc/IMG_1498.jpg
  • Well this time, it was the browser- Killing/restarting Firefox made it work fine. Still keeping an eye on it, and will debug/trace it when I see it again.
  • Can I email you the traces and logs? To which address?
  • Well, it's doing it again. But with four printers going, I can't stop the server to start the debug. When I can a chance, I'll run gdb. Only up three days this time. I've re-loaded the web page multiple times, as well as checked with other computers…
  • No webcams at the moment, couldn't get the USB ones to share the bus, so they are all disabled as I mess with a separate IP camera. Is there a way to restart the web interface without restarting the server process? I'll give your link a try, if I se…
  • I had to drop to 320x240 to get all three to work. It's not the actual bandwidth in use that is being limited, it's the request from the camera to the firmware. So it may depend greatly on which cameras are being used, as well as the OS. I'm just no…
  • Here some info that might help someone-  usbtop is a great way to see how much bandwidth is really in use. I can see it go up when the cameras are active, and drop back when they are not. # Show usb devices: lsusb -t # Monitor USB bandwidth: sud…
  • OK- Would be nice to have that on the Debian version, but I can edit the file easily. Thanks for the help-
  • I think one solution may be to use USB 3.0 cameras. I have 2.0 cameras on a 3.0 port/hub, but they enumerate as 2.0 and use all available bandwidth on that bus. I'm hoping that USB 3.0 cameras would co-exist better, as I only have two 2.0 USB buses …
  • Ok, that helps, thank you. I'm mostly looking for a notification from RS that the printer is in that state. With multiple printers, it's almost a daily issue for me where I have one printer paused due to a crash or out of filament, and don't realize…
  • Changing the bandwidth to 320x240 x 1fps got all three cameras working on the same bus. I was able to get two running at 1024x768.  So it is clear that it's a USB bandwidth issue. I'll see if I can move them to different buses.
  • It appears that webcam.conf file is not being used on Debian. Changes made to it have no effect. Is it only used on the PI version? /usr/local/Repetier-Setup/bin/mjpgStart determines BEST_WIDTH (etc) and uses that. Changing that file to force the p…
  • webcam.conf specifies 1024x768 as a factory default, but mgpg_streamer is using 1280x720. WEBCAM_WIDTH=1024 WEBCAM_HEIGHT=768 /usr/local/lib/mjpg-streamer/input_uvc.so -d /dev/video0 --fps 15 -q 85 -r 1280x720 Is there another place I need to change…
  • I see that there may be issues running multiple USB cameras at high resolution on the same USB bus. All three of mine are on the same bus. Can RS use MJPG or only full-bandwidth YUYV capture? root@print:~# v4l2-ctl -d /dev/video2 --list-formats ioct…
  • I'm only seeing one camera enumerated in by-id: root@print:~# ll /dev/v4l/by-idtotal 0 drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 60 Jan  7 21:42 . drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 80 Jan  7 21:42 .. lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 12 Jan  7 21:42 usb-Microsoft_Microsoft®_LifeCam_HD-300…

  • I give up-  Not sure why I'm losing all formatting in Firefox.
  • My fault for formatting issues- script blocker caused me problems. Re-posted with formatting: Last night I had a failed print, that caused these messages to show in the log: < 3:53:43.475: N382699 G1 X74.034 Y107.238 E0.10559 > 3:53…
  • I do see the pause messages when the printer had a jammed fan: >  4:04:25.417: Extruder fan speed is lower then expected >  4:04:32.328: // action:pause >  4:04:32.331: Extruder fan speed is lower then expected >  4:04:39.209: // actio…
  • Sorry for the loss of all formatting above, can that be turned off somehow? Makes it completely unreadable.
  • I've turned on logging, and will check the next time I see it. I think that having a configurable timeout may work- I know my bed heats up in less than two minutes, so I could set my timeout to 180s. On my 10s with the slower heater, I could set…
  • Update: I'm now seeing another copy of mjpeg_streamer start up for the second camera, but I'm not seeing the pictures remotely at port 8081. Nor at 8082 for the third camera. I've verified the cameras work with Cheese. This is on a Debian box, run…
