I got Homing order "X,Y, preheat then Z", min homing temp is at "0". X-min is set to "not installed". Z-probe enabled and pin set to "zmin endstop". What exactly do you mean with adjust? Is there an extra value for probe height just for homing?

Thx for your quick reply, that worked! I got another question. I wondering why the z-homing doesn't work properly when using the probe only as min-endstop. Everytime I start my printer I have to do a G32 in order to get the nozzle at the corre…

Got it, thanks.

Ah ok. So last commit is from 22.03.17 https://github.com/repetier/Repetier-Firmware/commits/master Correct?

The G1 X100 Y100 did the trick! Thank you very much. Will now test everything.

I did all this but didnt change a thing. But yesterday I loaded the latest dev version and the problem is gone. Don't know if you changed something. But I can't get a proper height when using a normal G28. Only way its working properly is G28 X0 Y0…

What exactly do you mean below trigger height? With a G32 the probe is measuring without crashing into bed. I configured z should always go up 20mm before homing.

So, I now switched to ir probe. With less distance to hotend. This is my current configuration: https://pastebin.com/ZdLCn7Zq I dont have the illegal position error anymore, but I also changed somethings in the config. Problem now is, that 8 …

I know that G32 is just for auto leveling. And this works, when the extruder is at x0 and y0. But when I send a G28 or just G28 Z0 I'm getting the illegal position error.

I got in somehow working, but not as it should be I think. At the moment I just can get in running, when doing a G28 X0 Y0, and a G32 after that. As soon as I wanna home z axis, i'm getting the illegal position error. My homing order is configured a…

Ok, so just to get that clear.I set homing_order to x y preheat then z. Also probe as z-min endstop. Proper way then to get started:G28 X0 Y0Preheat extruder/bedG32 Correct?Should the probe also just work that way as endstop? Without leveling? Becau…

Hey MartinH,thanks for your reply. I know also set the probe as z min endstop. But I get the same error as before:READ: Error:Activating z-probe would lead to forbidden xy position: 5.000000, -85.00 READ: RequestStop:SENT: M105READ: fatal:Could not …

All of a sudden it isn't working anymore. Also flashed the firmware new, but z probe as endstop is not working anymore. I've set zmin "switch on gnd, normally open", and z min endstop als z-min pin (same as for z-probe).

Ok, got it. But this means, that I have to adjust the z-probe distance between bed and probe, mechanically. So that the probe triggers right before nozzle reaches the bed, or is there a offset value just for probe as min-endstop?
-
Another question:Is there a gcode command to just set the min z-height with probe? I got no endstops installed for the z-axis, and the correct height is getting set by using S32, but when I save the bed lvl into eeprom, and start the printer the nex…

But my sensor isn't touching the surface at all. It triggers like 2mm-3mm above the surface, and even the hotend nozzle isn't touching the surface during the measurement.

Tried the bending correction today, and its working! Thank you very much, you need sometime to get it perfect, but even the quick calibrating was ok for me. First layer now sticks almost perfect on surface, without any tapes, sprays or glass bed. Th…

Ah ok, thanks. Will definitely try this out!

I'm hijacking this thread. I've also got issues with the auto leveling. I'm using the grid method and the probing so far is working, but when I check the distance between nozzle and print bed manually with a sheet of paper. Then I got a bigger gap o…
