Did a new cable solve your issue? I have an MK3S+ that never updates its temperature after a print is finished. Not a massive deal, but I have timeouts on my printers where they turn off after inactivity and a nozle temp below 40 degrees. Obviously…

I can't believe the solution was sat in front of me the whole time.... There's an option in printer settings to have an idle time and an idle temperature. I set this to 10 mins and 50 degrees and it does exactly what I want.
