I've been a Repetier fan for years, and I was thrilled when I purchased it. Later, I acquired a Bambu X1C, which became my go-to printer due to its near-perfect reliability. At one point, I had a dozen printers from various manufacturers, including …

Ok. For now I can always download all the g-code files from a project, do a search and replace then reupload to a new project. Since I'm not really a programmer and not much of a scriptor, I'd have to take the time to figure out and learn your sugg…

Yes I do know that feature. Though with as scatterbrained as I can be these days as I get older (much older), the project feature really does come in handy helping me organize my prints. ;-) Material management on a SINGLE server would be great. I…

Returning to this question. I have a group that has 5 pages or so of gcode files. I created a project because I have two similar printers that can print each others gcode successfully. It helps to have them both printing a model that has many parts…

I just found that setting. It was either never populated in the past, or the printer profiles that I used never had it populated. I had to rebuild my PC, install was a couple of years old and a little bit-rotted, so I went to Prusa's GitHub and foun…

When you have an angled print, say a print set at a 45-degree angle to fit a print otherwise too large for your bed, and you add an exclusion zone you have to get a bit creative in how you place them so as not to cut off a piece you want. https://w…

I know Prusa Slicer has an option to label objects. OctoPrint uses that information to select objects to cancel. Though that approach cancels the WHOLE object. Good if you are printing multiple copies of the same thing or just several objects. You c…

What about this approach. In 3DS Max and I'm going to assume in other 3D programs like Blender, when you create a shape, a box for instance, the first click places the corner of the object. When you let go you drag out the base, click again then dra…

While printing tonight I was watching the build preview windows, both in 3D and 2D. You have colors for different extruders as well as different types of moves. What about a different color for every Nth layer? Something to think about. Would requ…

Wouldn't the z height just be the layer? I know in Prusa, Cura and even Lychee there is a preview slider where you can see layer by layer. I figure it would be treated similar to a filament/color change at layer x.

I don't see it. I have Home Positions for X,Y,Z and invert switches for each. But no "Park Position" I went through several times, just in case my old eyes missed it.
-
Not to be a pain, but when the A30T finishes printing the bed retreats to the rear rather than to the front for easy print removal like other printers. Is there a setting I can adjust?

Repetier isn't on a pi. It is on an Intel 10th Gen i7 NUC with 64GB ram and an NVME for the OS running Kubuntu 22.10 so load really isn't a problem.

A good workaround I found was to use the web gui in the browser, hit full screen then zoom in the page to make things easier to touch on the 10in screen. Quick and dirty but it works! ;-)
-
Just have to add, I know I can run Server Monitor on the machine and interact with it via the touch screen. Though it does lack nice big "buttons" that are small screen and fat fingers friendly. And of course, the web interface too, but again, smal…

OK, so I guess I need to figure out a workflow to backup up my gcodes and not rely on the server for storage. Just keep my most used and current on the server. Not a big deal, just requires me to be a bit more cognizant of my storage. Like I said, …
-
What about uploading the gcode from cura/rep-host into the usual directory structure then "exporting" it and the render to a "storage" directory. I have quite a bit of NAS storage on premise and a few USB SSD drives that I can hook to the Pi-3. I h…

Certainly, makes a lot of sense. So, if I am understanding correctly, I can use the external folder (sorry if I got the name wrong, I don't have quick access to my server at the moment. Having electrical issues at the new house so most everything i…

Oooops, been a long two months. Lots of problems with the "new" house we moved in to. I forgot the process. Sorry. ;-)

WoooHooo, I ended up moving my Repetier install from the pi to a mini PC that WAS used as my router. Stacking a pfsense router behind the AT&T gateway was proving to be problematic, especially with a block of Static public IP addresses for my se…

Ahhh, k, Seems that I had grid spacing set to 0. Heh, usually something so simple. Thank you!
-
Again, just LOVING the new 3D view. Just found the rotate switch too, WAY COOL! Anyhow, on one of my printers I turned off the grid lines. For the life of me I can't seem to figure out how to get them back. Where do I find that setting?

This is the guide that I used when using OctoPrint. Of course, Repetier has much better support for multiple printers. The thing is I could never get the symlink to appear. Even when using the USB port # I had issues with the port changing on me …

Nope, I have all "power save" functions on Windows turned off. If I recall correctly, I also disabled USB power save as well. I'd have to double check. (I have that issue with my Logitech Flight Simulator displays, the USB powers down and turns the …

Repetier said: If you have pro version you can use Repetier-Server Monitor. There files are checkable and hence there is a move marked to group function for quick move. I knew i saw it somewhere. I thought it was Repetier Host. Thanks ag…

Hehe, found a workaround. Zoom the browser page to 200% and hit full screen. A little better for my old eyes while I'm lounging in my recliner across the room.

Okies. ;-)
-
Okies, yeah I've seen the wizard and have used it a couple of times. So I just gotta "sync" my timings/speeds with the particular slicer. No biggie. ;-) Again AWESOME work and Software!!!
-
To be clear I am not running pi's but regular x86 pc's with SSD's and HDD's so the SD card issue isn't a problem. IF I run a pi it will be to just use the touch interface as a remote control panel. But right now the Web GUI is doing quite well. I …

I purchased my Pro license today, woohoo!! I installed Server Monitor and so far it looks a lot like the Web GUI with a few more neat features, love the backup feature!!! The main Repetier Server runs on an 8th gen i7 Intel NUC with 64GB RAM with …
