Har ki Dun Trek
Har ki Dun Trek is a 50-kilometer valley in Uttarakhand, famous for its beauty and cultural significance. The Govinda Wildlife Sanctuary has two meanings: "Valley of the Gods" and "the sound of Shiva or the sound of God." It was climbed in 1937 by Jack Gibson, a teacher at Doon School.
This trek takes you through the snowy peaks and green fields of the Garhwal Himalayas. It reopens in late March, with snow trails and flowers in April. The winter weather is beautiful. In August, a special festival is held to welcome Lord Someshwar.
The trip is downhill, 25 km in 3 days, and two days of hiking. There are three routes to Marinda Tal Pond. The Hata Valley offers good views, and the Jaundhar Glacier has shrunk due to global warming.
