I am getting following error when trying to upload new firmware to printer "avrdude: stk500_getsync(

Does anyone know why I would be receiving this error?  I have loaded the drivers for the printer properly and everything should be fine

I am getting following error when trying to upload new firmware to printer
"avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00"

Any ideas what would cause this?  Thank you.

    I tried it two additional times and received the following errors

    "avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x49

    avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x4e"

    Not sure what is going on.  Ports are synced to 115200 and all of that.  Perhaps I will try an uninstall driver software and reinstall but otherwise I have no clue.  Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

    Apparently this is an IC error or IC blown out on the board if everything checks out.  Good stuff, it's a new board for me apparently :/

    such things sometimes happen even with good boards. As firmware developer I upload quite often and while it normally works I get times where I get such errors for some time and then it works again for days/weeks. Often a reboot and unplug helps.
