Issues with Latest Repetier-Host Update – Print Quality Degraded

Hello everyone,

After updating to the latest version of Repetier-Host, I’ve noticed a significant drop in my print quality. The same G-code files that used to print fine are now resulting in layer shifting and poor surface finish. I’ve already double-checked my slicer settings and tried printing via both USB and SD card with no improvement.

Printer: Ender 3 V2
Firmware: Repetier-Firmware v1.0.4
OS: Windows 11

Has anyone else experienced similar issues with the newest version? Could this be related to changes in the communication protocol or how the new host version handles print commands?

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

  • Print handling hasn't changed for a long time, so this is quite odd and likely has on other issue. You should activate logging and check for communication errors. More odd is when you say sd print has the same issue since it does not use host at all to print so it would rather be a printer problem if it is really the same g-code you printed before.
