Enable an endstop to trigger a pause for a syringe extruder

Hello, I have built a syringe extruder and would like to implement a pause or filament change when the plunger reaches the end of the syringe. I have an endstop placed appropriately to be triggered. How can I configure in the firmware an endstop that pauses the print when triggered?
