Object is smaller when loaded into Repetier Host. Why?

When I create an object for printing using a CAD program, I set the size of that object in inches or mm. When I load that object into Repetier Host that object is very very small. Why does it scale it down so much ? I've lost my dimensions. I know I can scale it back up but how do I measure it without making several wasted prints ?

Make sure you load with the same units ... sounds like you designed in inches and loaded with mm. That makes it 25.4 x smaller.
