Server Crash When Adding Printer from Backup Repetier Server v 1.4.1

Hello,

I'm attempting to set up a new printer using the "Upload Printer Backup" function, but every time I create the printer, the server crashes. My process is:

1. Download backup printer configuration file from working printer.
2. Click "Upload Printer Backup"
3. Select valid printer backup file
4. Rename printer
5. Click "overwrite connection" check box
6. Select the new COM port that corresponds to the new printer
7. Click "Create Printer"
8. Server Crash

Is this a known issue?

    Yes, found it 2 days ago. Your backup is ok, it is a bug in restore function. If you are using linux you can already use the nightly build to get a fixed version. 1.4.2 will also have it fixed.

    Got it! I'm on Windows. Do you know when version 1.4.2 will be released?

    Quite soon. It's only a patch version for the bugs found since 1.4.1. Will wait maybe a week and that publish what we got so far. Other issues found are quite special and not so important. But that bug makes me want to update soon.

    If you have still the original running you can use  Repetier-Server Monitor for backup - that works differently and is not affected I think. Otherwise you need to wait for the version that can handle restore, sorry.
