Ender 3 Max with 2 part cooling fans. Speeds are controlled but 2nd fan speed not being reported.

I have an Ender 3 Max with 2 part cooling fans. The fan speeds seem to be controlled properly but the second fan speed doesn't seem to be being reported correctly. At the moment on the 1st layer speed on fan 1 reports 0%. Fan 2 is reporting 67% (manually set from last print). However PHYSICALLY both fans are at 0% as reported by the fan 1 speed.

As the print is progressing fan speed 1 is reporting 33%. PHYSICALLY both fans seem to be running appropriately. (At least as far as the naked eye can tell). However fan 2 is still reporting the old fan speed of 67%.

  • There is normally no feedback about fans, so we determine fan state from send commands. Now the typical command
    is M107 S200
which assumes fan 0. If a P is added it is the fan number, so
    M107 P0 S200
    sets first fan and
    M107 P1 S200

the second. But you should first try if also you have 2 cooling fans both are just controlled with first fan, which is normally the case. Then you should configure server to just have one fan as there is only one setting.
