Tenlog April 7th Firmware Issues

Updated two D3 Hero's to the April 7th Firmware update. Connected successfully to repeteir. Controls fine. When i send a print, everything is good until bed is heated. It freezes right after send extruder temps, and stays disconnected until, unplug replug. Any Ideas??

  • So usb stack is not working after you have a big current change on printer. sub serial converter might have get errors or something in connection got corrupted causing it to hang. I know the symptom but can only speculate on what is really happening as it is outside our software. But it is normally caused by voltage drop on bigger current changes like when enabling heaters. Especially if you need also to disable printer and not only unplug the problem seems to be on printer side.

You can try to reduce the load change - heat bed first with extruders disabled - or does it happen then as well? Once bed is hot it might not cause such big load changes if it is pid controlled. Then enable extruder so load change is not that big. Maybe you also come away if you add a

after the bed enabling and before extruder enabling. Worth a try. Gives at least less change then enabling both more or less same time.
