connection failed

i keep getting the error "14:48:15.669 : Access to the port 'COM5' is denied." . I've checked that it's the right port and that the drivers are updated but i still keep getting the error. i am using the Velleman k8200

  • Access denied means some other software is using that port already.
    Did you install repetier-server as well and configure your printer there? Then it will be the server that owns the port and you should use the Repetier-Server Connector instead of Serial Connector in host.

    no only repetier host. ill try to see what programs are using the port.
  • I asked because host installer also installs the server if you do not deselect it. Connect browser to
    localhost:3344
    and you see if it runs and if it connects to printer or not.
