Multiple instances

Using a windows 8 computer-I have 2 printers running simultaneously. A Robo3d and a Solidoodle workbench.
It had been working fine. But recently, one or the other, but not both at same time, one printer will just stop working. Repetier shows printing-layers counting up, etc. -but the printer stops. Repetier even finishing the print process.
Any ideas why? Not familiar with windows8 very much, but is there someplace to increase the working memory for repetier? The computer has lots of ram and memory and a trig hard drive.

  • That sounds strange. If host is printing away there must be a firmware answering or host would stall. Does not sound like a memory issue. Do both printers use different com ports?

BTW: You might try Repetier-Server which was designed to handle multiple printers and also uses less ram. Next host release can also talk directly to the server, so you can work as you are used and print over the server. Dpending on the reason I also do not know this may not help. But the server has distinct logs for each job per printer so you could then analyse what is happening in the logs. AFter all aren't logs for finding reasons of problems:-)
