Strange Tool Path and Extrusion Results in Strings

Hello all,

I am relatively new to 3D printing and have stumbled upon slic3r because I can’t get cura to work properly. 

When printing, the gcode sends my extruded far away from the print and has it extrude over nothing, resulting in strings of plastic. Does anyone know what settings would cause this.

    Does host also show that it would do it? If not it is likely that printer looses position making it print at wrong positions. In that case you should check why you are loosing position, e.g. loosing steps due to not enough motor current, overheating of stepper driver, acceleration/speed too high, wrong end stop signals, pulley loose, belt loose so it can skip. Just a few reasons why you can loose position.
