Bed heat up

The manual says the bed should heat up before the extruder. We are using a Mac with 10.10.2 and the extruder heats up first. We have tried to insert some G Code that might work but are not successful.

    or whatever temperature you need. 
    Put it in start gcode before heating extruder commands.

    Reason is simply that bed takes much longer to heat up so extruder does not drool all the time. Except that it makes no difference.
