Trouble connecting to a Duet3D board.

Duet uses reprap firmware. When configuring the printer in repetier-server, I selected the port detected by the server, and connected to the printer without issue. However, I cannot seem to send any gcode commands. In the gcode console, I have a constant stream of "bad commands" that look like this: 



Has anyone seen this before or know what it is?

    Did you select as Firmware RepRapFirmware and not the defailt Repetier-Firmware? Repetier-Firmware uses a binary protocol no other firmware can understand.
