Configure USB port

I am an absolute newbie to 3d printing.  I just built a Tronxy X5s, no problems there.  I want to control the printer through the USB port.  I can do this with Cura 3.2.1, but want to use Repetier-Host.  My USB com port is set to 57600 baud, 8 bits, no parity, 1 stop bit and no flow control. Repetier-host is set to Baud 57600 and Autodetect  I can connect to the printer, but all I get is garbage out and "Communication timeout - reset and resend."  Is there any way to make this work?

    Garbage is normally a result of wrong baud rate. 57600 is very uncommon. Typically it would be 115200 or 250000 baud. Try these just to be sure.
