FILAMENT End Sensor from sparkfun

Hello,

i have read in the Forum, that it is possible to Connect a sparkfun FTS to an endswitch of a 3D Printer Unsinn the repetier Firmware. I‘m using a Ultimaker 2+ and the repetier Server on an Raspberry Pi 3. is it somehow posible to connect the Sensor directly to the Raspberry so that i do Not have to do changes on the Ultimaker?

    No, that is not possible. This sensor is not only out of filament but also detects jams by comparing steps with signal switches and that is only possible inside the firmware. Also ultimaker uses a own variant of Marlin, so I can not say if they support that switch.
