Scroll Mouse Zoom factor

Would it possible to set the zoom factor for the mouse wheel to finer steps. 
One mouse wheel movement zooms toward the object too much.
Maybe have the option on zoom level in preferences.

The option is already in preferences. In general tab->Zoom Speed Factor.
