Is it possible to have a "restart here" function?

Following the topic of this thread- viewtopic.php?f=62&t=6846   over on the Rostock Max forum.
I am not a coding guru by any stretch. Having said that, what would it entail to enable the host(Repetier)to restart a print after something like the above situations? (a mid print stoppage) My print was perfect up to the point it was interrupted. If I could have reloaded the g-code and restarted it at the interrupt? I imagine the code would be complex, but is it possible? Food for thought.

  • It depends. If you home and heat extruder you can start everywhere you want. Just delete anything below printed part. In the host you can jump to any z layer you want. So find the exact height until where you printed and delete anything before. Then start print. Just make sure you have no start code that goes below printed height.
