Using Laptops for 3D Printing Hosts: Concerns About Connection, Vibration, and Noise
The advantage of using a laptop as a host is portability—you can easily move it next to the printer for debugging. But I’m worried about USB connection stability—I’ve had occasional disconnections with a desktop; does it happen more with laptops? Plus, having the laptop nearby during printing, will vibrations or fan noise hurt the experience? Would love to hear from anyone with hands-on experience.
