Can I speed up timelapse moves?

I am working on building a relatively speedy printer, not Bambu speed, but it does well...

However....

when I turn on time lapse... it slowes W A Y down. Not the printing speed, but the motion to a fixed spot so the camera stands still.
....Printing fast
- picture trigger
move to photo spot at a snails pace....
take picture
move back to printing location
Back to Printing Fast...

the slow pace adds several seconds  per photo that isnt needed.

So...

How do I get it to not slow down...  or  ...where can I set a speed

thanks...

  • You can disable fixed position to have no impact, but dependent on printer type this makes ugly videos. The travel speed is the manual xy speed from config as well as z speed for hops. For extruder it is taken from G10/G11 speed/length definition.
  • Yes, you can use a faster motorized slider, change the interval settings, or shorten the exposure time to speed up timelapse moves. Smoother motion is another benefit of a higher frame rate (e.g., 30 fps vs. 24 fps). "Ramping" is a technique that some controllers permit to progressively increase or decrease movement for dynamic effects.
