Why was the 'reset on connect' option removed in 1.5.6

Why was the 'reset on connect' option removed in 1.5.6? Which way does this now default? It is very important to me to be able to disable this.

    It always was a point of confusion and often the source why users did not succeed. The new solution is mix like we use it in our server or othe rhost software does it.

    It tries a reset but does not depend on it to succeed, so it should now work on all boards.

    What if I do not want it to reset the board? I'd like the ability to disable it in BOTH products (I'm a paid user of server)
