"Authorization with server failed. Please check your API key."

Greetings Repetierians! I am a long-time user/fan of Repetier (10+ years). I am quite savvy with host/server setup.

I am getting a message now that I've never seen:

"Authorization with server failed. Please check your API key." When trying to connect via host to the server

I have checked the API key and it is correct. Here is my setup:

  • Windows 10 acting as a server
  • Repetier server 1.4.12
  • Repetier host 2.3.1
  • All machines connected via wireless through the building's Wifi
  • IP addresses are 10.n.n.n
Things I've tried:
  • I've tried connecting directly on the sever via localhost, same problem
  • Turning off firewall on the server
  • Ensured date was current
  • Rebooted
  • Refreshed API key
Anyone have any suggestions?

  • I already found the reason for this. Host is not sending one parameter on login and that makes it now fail due to no relaxed testing. Will be fixed in next server/host version as I will fix it in both ends. If you need it for now, downgrade server to 1.4.10 until one of them gets a new update.

  • actually had to also downgrade host to 2.1.6

  • New host is coming very soon. Already testing new release which works with  Repetier-Server 1.4.11 and 12.
