Cannot send manual gcode commands?

I am using Mac version 056 and custom marlin for clay extruding delta, software has a couple other snags too, but its the only version i have been able to get to work. I would like to upgrade to repetier firmware but cannot get it to support my LCD or work proper. If i could just work out some simple bugs like being able to send commands would be nice. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Whats the problem with sending manual gcode? Might be required to use upper case letters but if connected just enter them. If baud rate is correct they get send like the rest.
