Ender 3 V2

So recently I assembled an Ender 3 V2, and now I'm having weird connection issues with Repetier-Host. For some reason, Now it's refusing to connect to the printer at all. I'll hit the connect button, and nothing will happen. I know that it isn't Repetier freezing, as I can still preform every action, and I my computer recognizes that the printer is connected. from reading other posts about similar problems, it seems  that their is a drive that I'm missing, but I can't find any download links, or commands to run in terminal to get them

I'm using the latest AppImage of repetier-Host, on Ubuntu 22.04. Is there something I'm missing here?

    Please start it from terminal so you see eventually some extra messages. Also check if your user is member in dialout group and no other app like our server is using the serial. Check also if you have brltty installed and uninstall it if so
    sudo apt autoremove brltty
    it automatically connects to serial for braile reading.
