Repetier-server booting
Hi.
I have Repetier-server which is running on Raspberry Pi 3B+ with 5" display. Booting will take quite long, way over 40 seconds and also shutting down is relatively long, maybe over 1 minute... Especially, there is long delay when network connections are being shut down.
There is no big difference (in booting times) between different SD-cards. SD-card which I used now is quite fast and Raspberry will boot to (Rasbian) desktop way way faster, it will take maybe 10 seconds. So, SD-card is not the problem, I guess.
Is there anything to do to speed up booting time and shut-down time? How to speed up Repetier server? Any hints, please?

Our image is a raspbian lite with minimum desktop. With starting x server and chrome it may take maybe 20 seconds.
After a boot you can run on ssh
sudo dmesg
which shows time and action done. Maybe that reveals which modules/process takes so long to continue. The sd card repair might be it, but since you shut down cleanly it should be very fast knowing there is nothing to check.
I got following:
So, it looks like that WiFi/Wlan is messing up booting, right?

Now I have booting time just over 10 seconds, if checked with sudo dmesg. But in real life booting to Repetier-Server will take almost 40 seconds, still..?
With same Raspberry Pi, SD-card and 7" screen booting will take approx. 10 to 15 seconds to boot to desktop of Raspbian Stretch... Why so big difference? And why sudo dmesg will give different values?
You can of course also install server on default pi image. Just open automatically chromium in kiosk mode with touchscreen url. But then you loos the extra config options we have added to V14 like screensaver, wlan and webcam configuration over server. You find all the scripts on pi image in /usr/local/Repetier-Setup if you like to use them as well but it is more like services and udev rules, so you need good linux knowledge to do it your self. But that is just a plus and not required at all to run the server.
Just to make sure, I must ask again: Will your Repertier-Server boot to touchscreen interface in 10 seconds, started calculation when you first put power ON to RPi?
I will wait if you find something... I bet you will, someday, when you just have time to do it. Thank you for your support!
